When you think of weight loss, what do you think you need to do? Cut calories? Stop eating carbs? Weigh and measure every single piece of food you eat? Only eat in a specific amount of time?
Yes that can work but you also don't have to do that. Focus on eating good healthy foods and move your body. It's quite simple but yet hard for us to do. Why is that? Because we are constantly pressured by different diets promising the results we want. They might work but only while you are doing them. I don't know about you, but I don't want to CONSTANTLY be counting calories/macros for the rest of my life. That's not living. I want to enjoy my foods. I want to be a healthy weight. I want to be strong. I want to EAT! I bet you do too.
Start with these simple habits:
Eat breakfast!! Don't starve yourself off the bat. Jumpstart your day with a healthy breakfast to give your body the fuel it needs to go about your day. Think about it. You starve all night long. Your body ready to eat. And needs to eat!
Eat heathy foods. Whole grains, lean proteins, fruits, and veggies. If you aren't sure exactly what to eat and how much, find help from someone who is anti-diet to lead you down the right direction. CS Fitness nutritionist Sam Hohenshil can help you there. Learn more about her and her philosophy here: coachcassandraoc.com/nutrtion
Drink water when you wake up. Coffee screams for me in the morning but snooze that alarm and start with water and then grab the coffee. If I don't...I feel like 💩. Coffee dehydrates you and you are already dehydrated to begin with in the morning. So double dehydrated...no thank you!
Move your body and prioritize sleep. No matter what you goals are...these are SUPER important. When you lack sleep, you'll likely eat/drink more and won't prioritize movement. Speaking of movement, move every day is some fashion. Doesn't have to be a class or anything structured. Walk, swim, get up and do some jumping jacks between meetings. Whatever you have to do. Your body will thank you and reward you with more energy!
But MOST importantly, stay positive and get rid of the scale. It doesn't serve you. The NATURAL back and forth of your weight doesn't tell you ANYTHING. It will just make you mentally sick. Positivity will go a very long way...a whole lot longer then that scale.
Good luck and reach out if you need/want help!
